As our world becomes increasingly saturated with media platforms, Artificial Intelligence, and 60-second-or-less videos, how do we continue to engage the public, and by extension, our stakeholders in a meaningful way?

About the Presenters

Hollie Stark is the Outreach Program Manager at the Washington Emergency Management Division. She specializes in individual and community preparedness outreach as well as crisis communications.

Hollie spent almost a decade as a journalist and media personality reporting on everything from traffic accidents and city council meetings to public lands and state legislation. Her passion and experience is in combining storytelling with emergency management priorities.

Hollie is a regional Society of Professional Journalists award winner. She currently serves on the Partners in Emergency Preparedness Committee and is working toward becoming the best public information officer she can be.

In her personal life, Hollie is a single mother of three kids, a six-time marathon finisher, outdoor enthusiast, trivia nerd, bibliophile, and writer.
