Mobile IT Resilience Units​ (MITRU)​

Snohomish County DEM has build a number of trailers with some easily expandable networking capability and multiple Internet connection options. They started with a narrow Continuation of Operations (COOP) focus but have been deployed successfully many times with a broader range of missions.

About the Presenter

Scott Honaker retired from Microsoft and began working with selected corporate IT clients. In 2007, he started with Snohomish County Emergency Management as the Communications Coordinator. He has been working with a talented team of amateur radio volunteers to maintain and develop technologies to build capabilities for Snohomish County.
