About the Presenter

Lisa Figueroa, the Emergency Manager for the City of Redmond and Vice Chair of the IAEM Tribal Affairs Caucus, will share her insight and experiences. She has worked for tribal nations within Southern California and served as a county tribal liaison for the Sonoma County Department of Emergency Management. As a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, Center for Homeland Defense and Security, she focused her Master’s degree thesis, “Tribal Homeland Security from a Tribal Context,” on the importance of strong support of tribal emergency management programs for the resilience and security of our nation. She is serving her third term as Vice Chair of the IAEM Tribal Affairs Caucus
