About the Presenter
Tyler Robinson enjoyed a successful 20-year career as a Production Designer in the film industry, but he wanted to move beyond creating passive screen-based entertainment. With his growing interest in Escape Games, he decided to create an interactive experience with positive social value and in December 2019, he founded Side Quest Escape Games.Having played nearly 100 escape rooms, Tyler was inspired to do something different—create a game that could teach practical skills and potentially save lives. Having served in the military and doing volunteer work with his local CERT & NET teams, he chose Emergency Preparedness as the theme of his new escape room and designed puzzles that simulate real-life emergency situations, helping players learn hands-on skills. Despite the challenges of launching during a pandemic, Tyler proudly introduced the world’s first mobile Escape Room focused on emergency preparedness: Shaky Grounds Cafe.
